Renaissance Photography Prize 2014 Competition

The International Renaissance Photography Prize has just started accepting entries for the 2014 competition and all photographers are invited to enter.

The Renaissance Photography Prize is an international award that showcases outstanding photography from emerging or established photographers while raising funds to support The Lavender Trust at Breast Cancer Care, UK.

Photographers can win $10,000 worth of prizes and the finalist and shortlisted photographs selected by the judges will be exhibited in the UK at a top London gallery.

Photographers can enter single images and/or series of work in the following categories:

  • Single Image categories:
    • Transition
    • Belonging
    • Expression
  • Series category: Open

Photographer Martin Parr joins the judging panel for this yearʼs Renaissance Photography Prize, alongside some of the most influential photography organisations in the industry. By entering, photographers get their work seen by some of the most highly regarded photography critics.

The Renaissance Photography Prize was founded in 2007 by Fiona Gifford, a lawyer and keen amateur photographer who was diagnosed with breast cancer aged 34. Seven years on, the prize has become an established fixture in the photography world. Last year the competition attracted thousands of entries from 64 countries. It has provided hundreds of photographers with international exposure and valuable professional opportunities, and continues to make a difference for cancer sufferers.
