Scratch! – the first festival in Lecce entirely dedicated to animated shorts – is currently accepting entries for 2012. The Festival is after short animated films and videos and has two competitive categories.
Traditional, stop motion, 2D and 3D animations, as well as mixed media and visual effects works are all eligible for this festival.
The Scratch! festival includes two days of screenings open to the public free of charge.
Scratch! European Animation Film Festival is Calling for Entries
Scratch! European Animation Film Festival is dedicated to short and medium length animation movies (up to 20 minutes). Only works produced after the 1st of January 2009 are allowed to participate in the festival.
There are two broad categories including:
- traditional animation, 2D digital, mixed media and stop motion
- 3D and visual effects
Out of competition category:
- Animated music video clips
All movies are selected by the festival artistic director on the base of artistic, content and technical value.
The festival Jury will award the winners of each of the two categories and the best work in the out of competition one.
Scratch! 2012 will take place on the 22, 23 and 24 of June, 2012 at Cineteatro Don Bosco in Lecce.
