Registration is open for the 2013 TAIPEI CYCLE Design & Innovation Awards competition. This award provides an outstanding communication platform on which the bicycle industry can present its special innovations and design achievements to an international audience.
The entire international bicycle industry is invited to take part: manufacturers, designers, wholesalers and retailers as well as importers can register online with their innovative products that have not been on the market for longer than two years up until 20 December 2012.
Both exhibitors and non-exhibitors in Taipei Cycle 2013 (20 to 23 March) are welcome to participate.
TAIPEI CYCLE Design & Innovation Awards 2013 Open for Registration
The Taiwan External Trade Development Council (TAITRA) and the Taiwan Bicycle Exporters’ Association (TBEA), the hosts of this competition, and the iF Branch Office Taiwan, as the organizer of the event, look forward to receiving many innovative entries in the following categories once again this year:
- Bicycles
Mountain bikes, Racing bikes, Trekking bikes, BMXs, City bikes, Family bikes, Kids’ bikes - Components + Parts
Frame and frame parts, Wheel sets and parts, Transmission parts, Steering parts, Braking parts - Peripherals + Accessories
Bike computers, Light systems, Pulse monitors, Clothes - E-Bikes + Pedelecs
On 10 January 2013, an international panel of experts will examine all the products entered in the competition on the basis of the following criteria and select the winners of the TAIPEI CYCLE d&i awards 2013:
- Degree of innovation/creativity,
- Quality of design,
- Workmanship,
- Material,
- Sustainability,
- Functionality,
- Utility Value,
- Safety,
- Ergonomics,
- Universal Design.
The five best entries will be honored with the TAIPEI CYCLE Gold award.

Registration Fees
- US$160 per entry (plus VAT)
