Taiwan International Student Design Competition, the worldwide second largest international student design competition, has recently opened submission for 2016.
Now in its ninth year, the competition is inviting students worldwide to submit works on this year’s theme: Open. Artworks should convey the concept of Open — Open is open-minded with feeling the everyday nuances. Having open perspectives is to look to the future with an all-inclusive attitude.
The total reward of TISDC is up to NT$4,600,000 (approximately US$150,000) in 2016, with a Grand Prix of NT$400,000 (approximately US$13,000)! In response to the growing number of the entries, TISDC further cooperates with up to 15 acclaimed international design associations to authorize awards and provide a total of more than 50 awards.
The 2016 competition is open for entries in four (4) categories:
- Product Design,
- Visual Design,
- Digital Animation, and
- Brand Specified.
Entrants can participate as individuals or in teams. Multiple submissions of different works are acceptable.
Taiwan International Student Design Competition (TISDC) is organized and conducted by Youth Development Administration of the Ministry of Education of Taiwan and has been held annually since 2008.
According to the 2015 report, last year more than 50 worldwide nations participated in TISDC and the competition received 30,000 pieces of artwork.
