The Fumetti in Treviso association announces the International Competition for New Comic Book Authors, held as part of the 18th edition of Treviso Comic Book Festival – TCBF 2021.
The subject is “Not As Before”. The contest is aimed at all new cartoonists — non-professional authors, including students, who are not in any way employed in the illustration and/or comics field and have not published work at a national and international level — aged 18 and over worldwide.
Three awards are offered by Banca Prealpi SanBiagio Credito Cooperativo and consist of: 500 Euro for the First prize, 300 Euro for the Second prize and 200 Euro for the Third prize.
The award ceremony will take place during the Carlo Boscarato Award Ceremony 2021.
Every candidate (or group of candidates) must submit a comic story concerning competition subject. Works inspired by characters and/or events that genuinely happened or fictitious ones are allowed.
The submitted comic story must be entirely original.
The drawings can be created with all kinds of hand-drawn and digital techniques and can be in in black and white as well as in color.
The competition is organized in collaboration with Banca Prealpi SanBiagio Credito Cooperativo.
