International Reggae Poster Contest has just opened the call for its second poster contest. After the very successful first edition, designers are once again invited to create poster designs and build awareness for Reggae music and celebrate the global achievements of Reggae and its impact on the world.
The Second International Reggae Poster Contest 2013 is open to all graphic designers and artists internationally.
The top 100 posters and winners will be printed in the “World-A-Reggae, International Reggae Poster Contest, 2012-2013″ book, showcasing the posters of the two years contest. Prizes will also be awarded.
Build Awareness for Reggae Music Through Poster Design
The objective of the Second International Reggae Poster Contest 2013 is to continue to build awareness for Reggae music and to celebrate the global achievements of Reggae and its positive impact on the world.
The term Reggae encompasses all the popular Jamaican musical genres; Ska, Rocksteady, Roots Reggae, Dub, Dancehall and the unique Jamaican Sound System.
The theme of the 2013 contest is: Toward a Reggae Hall of Fame: Celebrating great Jamaican Music.
The Poster competition is part of a bigger vision that seek to establish a Reggae Hall of Fame in Kingston, Jamaica.
