The VADON Association (from Saint George of Covasna County, Romania) announces the 7th TransNatura International Nature Photo Contest.
The application is open, amateur as well as professional photographers are invited from all over the world, except the members of the jury and the organizers.
The organizes will award a total of 3,400 Euro to a Grand Prize winner and three category winners in two competition categories. The Grand Prize (TransNatura Award) is 1,000 Euro. The award-winning pictures and other selected works will be exhibited on 30th October 2020.
The basic requirement is that the recordings have to be made of natural habitats without disturbing the wildlife. On the photos only wild animals can be included, pictures taken of captive animals can not compete in the contest.
There are two competition categories.
- Open — any type of nature photography, representing animals, plants, landscape and so on
- Macro — macro nature photographs
A candidate may enter with a total of four pictures per category.
The works received will be evaluated and decided upon by an international jury. A total number of seven competition prizes will be awarded, including:
- TransNatura Award (Grand Prize): 1,000 Euro
- Open category:
- 1st Prize – 600 Euro
- 2nd Prize – 400 Euro
- 3rd Prize – 200 Euro
- Macro category:
- 1st Prize – 600 Euro
- 2nd Prize – 400 Euro
- 3rd Prize – 200 Euro
The VADON („Wilderness”) Association is founded in the autumn of 2012 with the aim of designing and implementing projects based on natural values.
TransNatura 2020 International Nature Photo Contest – Entry Fees
The entry fee is 10 Euro for a category, 15 Euro for two categories.
