VADON Association announces the 11th TransNatura International Nature Photo Contest and calls for entries for 2024.
The goal of the TransNatura photography competition is to promote and support the importance of nature conservation and the protection of natural values through nature photography.
The organizes will award a total of 5,500 Euro to a Grand Prize winner and three category winners in two competition categories. The TransNatura Grand Prize is 1,500 Euro.
The application is open to amateur as well as professional photographers from all over the world, with the exception of jury members and organizers.
The basic requirement is that the recordings must be made of natural habitats without disturbing the wildlife. On the photos only wild animals can be included, pictures taken of captive animals cannot compete in the contest.
There are two competition categories for 2024.
- Wildlife — wild animals in their natural habitats. The images can be portraits, action shots, or everyday scenes showcasing animal behavior, beauty, and their role in nature.
- Nature and Landscapes — all images showcasing the beauty and diversity of nature, excluding animals. It covers impressive landscapes, forests, waters, plants, and natural phenomena.
The works received will be evaluated and decided upon by an international jury. A total number of eight competition prizes will be awarded, including:
- TransNatura Grand Prize: 1,500 Euro
- Wildlife category:
- 1st Prize – 1,000 Euro
- 2nd Prize – 600 Euro
- 3rd Prize – 400 Euro
- Nature and Landscapes category:
- 1st Prize – 1,000 Euro
- 2nd Prize – 600 Euro
- 3rd Prize – 400 Euro
The VADON („Wilderness”) Association is founded in the autumn of 2012 with the aim of designing and implementing projects based on natural values.
