VIDEONALE.18 – Festival for Video and Time-Based Art

The 18th edition of the Videonale is open for entries and all artists and filmmakers are invited to submit their works for the competition.

Videonale is one of the most significant festivals for experimental video and moving images, an important venue for artists, curators, collectors and the interested public.

The Videonale Prize of the Fluentum Collection endowed with 5,000 Euro will be awarded among all selected works by an independent jury at the opening of the 18th edition of the Videonale.

The call is open for experimental works from the fields of single- and multi-channel video, video installation, performance, sound art, and virtual reality.

Artists of all nationalities and ages can submit up to three works each. There are no limitations on the duration and genre, but the submitted works may not be older than two years (produced after 1 January 2018).

The works selected by an international jury are presented in an exhibition at the Kunstmuseum Bonn and an accompanying exhibition catalogue. All selected artists receive an exhibition fee and accommodation during the opening days and are given the opportunity to participate in the festival.

The VIDEONALE.18 festival will take place from 4 Match – 18 April 18, 2021 at Kunstmuseum Bonn, Germany.
