Students, Design Urban Housing for the Year 2050
Well Building 2050 is meant to imagine, explore and forecast a vision of housing accessible to everyone, implementing the three pillars of sustainable development with energy efficiency and quality of life as a purpose.
Works resulting from this contest should show a philosophical, sociological, scientific and futuristic view on housing without any energy dependence. The Building should be adapted to lifestyles’ improvement more than to technology or to know‐how.
This contest is open to students worldwide who can give proof of their status as students. The teams should be structured around architecture, design and engineering professions, by incorporating consistently tomorrow’s building profession: green chemistry, art, economy, town-planning, sociology, philosophy, health, or all other disciplines related to humans.
The following three prizes will be awarded in this competition:
- 1st prize: The successful team wins US$30,000 (to share freely between the team members) plus one study trip in France and one training period in Elithis Group.
- 2nd & 3rd prize: The teams in second and third position win US$5,000 each (to share freely between the team members).
English is the official language of this competition. All of the documents, files and presentations submitted during the competition must be in English.
