The West Virginia University School of Art and Design is accepting entries to the 5th annual West Virginia Mountaineer Short Film Festival.
The organizers seek independent, unique and compelling work in film, experimental video and animation.
One Best of Festival award of $300 and five $100 awards in each of the festival categories will be awarded.
Works will be considered for the following five competitive categories:
- Documentary Short,
- Narrative Short,
- Animation/ Experimental,
- Student (College),
- Young Filmmakers (Under 18)
This year’s festival also has a thematic category called “Escape”.
Each festival submission will be carefully reviewed by a screening committee of practising, professional artists and filmmakers.
Entry Fees for the 5th Annual West Virginia Mountaineer Short Film Festival
The General entry fee is $10, the entry fee for College Student is $5 and Young filmmakers (Under 18) can enter for free!
Up to three entries can be submitted for a single fee.
