Held within the “Global Arctic Awards” project, the “Yamal In The Lens” International Photography Competition has been created to show the diverse life of Yamal-Nenets Autonomous Okrug in Russia by means of photographic art.
Professional and amateurs photographers are invited to participate and help show Yamal’s history, culture, everyday life and centuries-old traditions, modern cities and small towns, diversity of the animal world and surrounding.
Pictorial photographs of any genre taken in Yamal-Nenets Okrug and issue-related to any aspect of nature and life of Yamal may be submitted.
A maximum of four (4) entries per participant are allowed.
Yamal In The Lens International Photo Competition exists as a special section of the 2013 Global Arctic Awards and has two competition categories:
- Professional photographers
- Amateur photographers.
The prize fund includes:
- Diploma and commemorative reward for 10 professional photographers.
- Diploma and commemorative reward for 10 amateurs
- Gifts from sponsors
All participants of the contest will receive an electronic version of the Exhibition Catalog.
