MINI Space wants to see urban and nature fused together: vibrant flowers growing through concrete, trees shadowing on steel structures, picnics held against city backdrops, and more. Fujitsu is soliciting designs for next generation service concept that will fully enrich our daily lives, and products that are based on next generation computing devices which use those service concepts.

Videoex 2011 – the international experimental film and video festival will be held in Zurich at Kunstraum Walcheturm and Cinema Z3, from 21 – 29 May 2011. The festival will present an international competition and a wide range of thematic programs. Cooperations with other exhibition sites in Zurich are planned. You are invited to submit your works for the international and the Swiss competition.

Houston Center for Photography (HCP) announces its 2011 Photography Fellowship Competition. Two fellowship recipients will be awarded $2,000 each and a solo exhibition at HCP in the summer of 2011. HCPs Fellowships are geared towards the completion and presentation of new work; submissions of work-in-progress are acceptable. The competition is open to all photographic, film/video, and lens-based work, including installation.

architekturbild, the European Architectural Photography Prize, has been awarded on a two-yearly basis since 1995. Call for entries for the 2011 European Architectural Photography Prize is open. Since 2003, the prize has been awarded by architekturbild e.v., a non-profit organization, and since 2008 in cooperation with the German Architecture Museum, Frankfurt. In 2011, first prize of 4000 Euro and two commendations (1000 Euro each) will be awarded on a special ceremony held at the German Architecture Museum (DAM) in Frankfurt.

In 2009-2010 5,500 artists from 78 countries have applied to the West Prize in order to become part of the West Collection, and in those two years 20 innovative artists have been added to the West Collection. Again in 2011, the West Collection annual acquisition budget of $125,000 is being offered to ten artists. Artists have until 1 November 2010 to apply for the 2011 West Prize.
