Pictoplasma, the world’s leading organisation dedicated to contemporary character design and art in all its many facets and media, is calling for entries for its latest research project called “The Missing Link”. Pictoplasma is seeking for white, hairy, friendly creatures, just feature-less enough to serve as the perfect empty screen for the viewers to project their own narration, yet exactly the right amount of hairiness, to make you want to get into physical cuddle-mode. This is an open call, the results from which will be presented at the heart of the upcoming Pictoplasma Exhibition in Paris.

Kunstwerk Carlshütte, a non-profit initiative of the ACO Group, and the towns of Büdelsdorf and Rendsburg, organises the NordArt, an annual international exhibition of visual arts from June to the beginning of October. The art exhibited at NordArt is selected by a jury and features all visual art media. The exhibition in summer 2011 displayed the work of 250 artists from 55 countries, selected from 1200 applications from 72 countries. Each year one artist is awarded the NordArt-Prize, worth €10,000, with the aim to support the art and culture scene.
