PLUG association is hosting their ninth Posterheroes contest and invites submissions of poster designs on the subject: Humans at work. Posterheroes is an international contest about social design and social communication asking to the international creative community to express powerful messages through a poster 50×70 cm or 70×100 cm about social and environmental issues. Participants have the chance to win a cash prize, take part in many exhibitions and events and be featured in Posterheroes publications and editorial projects. The total cash prize fund for 2020 is 2,500 Euro.

Die Junge Akademie is celebrating its 20th birthday in 2020 and hosting the “Visions / Solutions for a sustainable tomorrow” online competition. The focus is on one of the most important topics of our time: climate change and our relationship to the natural world in general. This will also bring the issue of sustainability to the forefront. With this wide-ranging online competition, the organizers want to provoke a change of perspective with regards to this major social issue. Instead of negative visions of the future, this competition aims to combine concrete solutions with positive visions: visions for a sustainable society and way of life. The best three entries in each of the two competition categories will be awarded a total of 3,000 Euro — 2,000 Euro are reserved for the 1st place entry.

Verzasca Foto Festival is accepting entries for its Nera di Verzasca 2020 photography competition and invites all amateur and professional photographers to participate. The choice of the theme is open. Every participant can submit a personal photo story with minimum 3 and maximum 10 images. One 1st place prize winner will be awarded 2,000 Swiss Francs (approximately 1,850 Euro / 2,050 Dollars US), a solo exhibition from the 4th September to 4th November 2020 in Sonogno, Switzerland and will be invited to the 2020 Verzasca Foto Festival. The organizers will also invite the ten finalists to project their work during the festival + free board and lodging during the four days of the festival.
