A’ Design Award & Competition, the world’s leading international annual juried competition for design, is calling for entries for 2022. The Meitar Award for Excellence in Photography, a collaboration between PHOTO IS:RAEL and the Zvi and Ofra Meitar Family Fund, will be awarded for the sixth time this year to a photographer whose works demonstrate excellence in the field of photography. This year’s winner will receive a $14,000 grant for the publication of a solo exhibition at PHOTO IS:RAEL International Photography Festival. The winner will be announced in November 2021, and the exhibition will be shown in November 2021 at the 10th International Photography Festival. During the course of that year, the winner will work on the exhibition together with PHOTO IS:RAEL’s Chief Curator.

ID4Africa is now accepting entries for its International Identity Day (ID-Day) Design Competition. This competition targets creatives in Africa who want to use their unique talent to help raise awareness on the importance of ID-Day, celebrated on 16th of September, and Identity for all. First prize is US$3000. The winning design becomes the official ID-Day 2021 campaign design.

The Art Moves festival is hosting its International Billboard Art Competition for 2021 and invites all interested people to participate. The Competition is intended to propagate and popularize billboard art and to encourage artists to create art engaged in the reality. The artists taking part in the Competition are invited to prepare an artwork (maximum three pieces), technique is up to you. The work is intended to be a creative response to this year’s Competition theme: Getting infected with untruth. How can we find our path in a world full of contradictions, chaos and uncertainty.

PLUG association is hosting their tenth Posterheroes contest and invites submissions of poster designs on the subject: Digital Inclusion, Becoming e-Quals. Posterheroes is an international contest about social communication that calls for posters (70×100 cm) about social and environmental issues. For the 10th contest, Posterheroes invites the creative international community to create a poster representing digital equality. Participants have the chance to win a cash prize, take part in many exhibitions and events and be featured in Posterheroes publications and editorial projects. The total cash prize fund for 2021 is 2,500 Euro.

Anima 2022, the Brussels Animation Film Festival, has opened the call for entries to its selection programmes for the 41st edition of the festival. The Festival offers an official selection with national and international competition of short and feature films, as well as an information section (retrospectives, thematic programmes…). Anima is a qualifying festival for the Academy Award® for Best Animated Short Film organized by The Academy of Motion Picture Arts and Sciences.

In 2021, the organizers are holding the motion graphics contest under the theme of “Global Solidarity and Cooperation to Prevent and Combat Pandemic Diseases“, with the aim of overcoming the pandemic crisis through solidarity across borders. After researching for the theme in depth, showcase your artistic and technical skills to create a motion graphics video to share with the world what you have discovered. A total of $9,700 will be awarded, of which $5,000 are reserved for the Grand Prize winner. The award-winning work will be shared widely and spread online to people around the world.
