The International Artist Grand Prize Competition (I.A.G.P.C.), one of Asia’s top art contests, is looking for worldwide masterpiece to exhibit in the Art Revolution Taipei (A.R.T.) 2023 fair. There has no entry fee for the submission and selected artists don’t need to come — your presence will however be highly welcomed. All medium are acceptable except video and installation. After the juror’s selection, all accepted entries (“Finalists”) would be exhibited for sale in the A.R.T. 2023 fair. The winner among selected finalists (“championship”) will be awarded free space in A.R.T. 2024! Furthermore, the juror will select some artists to participate in the International Artist Salon in A.R.T. 2024 (“Gallery Award”, please see offical website for details).

The 2022-2023 cycle of the RSA Student Design Awards – global student competition, has been scheduled. Students and recent graduates are going to once again be challenged to tackle pressing social, environmental and economic issues through design thinking. This time, RSA will again present fresh new briefs for pressing social, environmental and economic issues that need to be addressed through design thinking. Each brief puts a real world social problem in the hands of the next generation of designers – and today there is no shortage of complex and systemic challenges that desperately need creative approaches.

Taito City is calling for applications to the 33rd Fashion ZAKKA Design Competition and looking for your leather and fabric fashion item designs. Anyone who is interested in ZAKKA (fashion items) design, either professional or amateur, is eligible to participate. The competition will result in awarding 25 different prizes and more than ¥750,000 (Japanese Yen) in prize money. The Grand Prize is ¥200,000. The winning designs will be produced by craftspeople in Taito.

Udruga Lončari is hosting an international art competition — On Accepting The Undesirable — as part of the Eco-project “It Is Not Too Late“. The project focuses on the Seagrass beds and their importance for the overall ecosystem and undesirable elements in our environment. The art project proposal should make use of the collected glass waste from the location, the experience of people who worked together on waste collection, the fishing tradition and culture related to fishing heritage, and the natural and cultural heritage of this area as the elements for the creation of the work. The winning project will be awarded with a 3,000 Euro award. Production costs for the art project in Croatia are also covered.

The 13th edition of the Carmignac Photojournalism Award is dedicated to Ghana and the ecological and social challenges the country faces. Application is open to all photographers (press card not needed), of all nationalities. Participation can be individual or collaborative. Selected by an international jury, the laureate will receive a €50,000 grant to carry out a 6-month field report with the support of the Fondation Carmignac, which produces, upon their return, a traveling exhibition and the publication of a monograph.

The call for entries for the C-IDEA Design Award 2022 has opened to designers from all parts of the world. The C-IDEA Design Award is the Worlds’ annual juried design competition. It aims to recognize and promote visionary talents in a wide array of categories ranging from communication design, industrial design, architecture, interior design, fashion design, and new media. Award winners receive award certificates, opportunities for inclusion in the C-IDEA Design Award Yearbook, international media coverage, a free entry ticket to the award ceremony and more.

Warming Huts: An Art + Architecture Competition on Ice, is open for entries for 2023 to participants from all over the world. This call for entries is open to all architects, students of architecture, landscape architects, interior designers, artists and industrial designers who have a proven portfolio of design work. It is the intention of this competition to foster and encourage the formation of multi-disciplinary teams. Three teams will be selected as winners of the Competition. Winning teams will be invited to Winnipeg to help complete their projects and install their project on the Nestaweya River Trail. Travel will only be allowed if it is in accordance with public health orders at the time of the event. Several days of activities will be planned around the celebration of the new huts with the design and construction teams.

Bologna Children’s Book Fair (BCBF) is calling for applications for the 2023 Illustrators Exhibition — a unique international showcase for state-of-the-art trends in illustrations for children and young adults. Individual illustrators or groups of illustrators of any nationality, provided they were born prior to 31 December 2005, whose artwork is intended for use in children’s books, are eligible to enter the Exhibition, either directly or through publishing houses, associations of illustrators or schools. An outstanding international jury will select the winners whose illustrations will be presented at the 60th Bologna Children’s Book Fair — scheduled for 6-9 March 2023 in Bologna, Italy.

The 31st Curtas Vila do Conde – International Film Festival is calling for new short films (produced in 2022 or to be produced in 2023) up to 60 minutes in length. Eligible for submission are animations, documentaries, fiction films, experimental films and music videos, in film (16mm and 35mm) or digital (DCP or video files). The Festival is very competitive and each year awards are announced in thirteen (13) categories, five (5) of which are international.
