Creative Quarterly (CQ) magazine has opened its 73rd international juried competition, inviting participation by professionals, as well as students. CQ seeks for the best art, advertising, design, illustration and photography done in the past six months. The Best of Show winner for each quarter will receive $500. Quarterly winners will be featured in print and CQ’s online gallery, receive a free publication and have a choice to receive a printed certificate. Honorable Mentions will be displayed online.

The OSTEN Biennial of Drawing Skopje has opened application for 2024. OSTEN Skopje seeks to find the most innovative and creative works, regardless of form, technique or medium. Entry is open to works from all parts of the world, completed between 2020 and 2024. Multiple awards by the Assembly of Ambassadors of OSTEN, the International Jury, the OSTEN Board and WAVA (World Association of Visual Arts) awards will be endowed in September 2024.

Japan Graphic Designers Association (JAGDA) is hosting its International Student Poster Award competition for 2023 and invites participation by students worldwide. The theme for 2023 is “Share”. Approximately 200 works will be selected and the following prizes will be awarded: Grand Prix (1), Gold (2), Silver (5), Bronze (10) and Jury Prize (7).

The Bucharest International Jazz Competition has opened registration for 2024 to all jazz instrumentalists, bands and vocalists, no older than 45. Bucharest International Jazz Competition is one of the most appreciated jazz events, by specialists and the public, the event being ranked among the first 3 European jazz competitions. The total amount of prizes for 2024 is 7,000 Euro, of which 1,200 Euro are reserved for the Grand Prize Winner.

The 16th Festival of Art on Billboards – Art Moves is calling for entries to the 2023 International Billboard Art Competition, open to all the interested people. Submitted artworks are supposed to be a creative response to this year’s competition theme: What shift in our perspective do we need to see the bright side of reality, not just the dark one? The author of the winning entry will receive the Main Award in the amount of PLN 4,000 (about EUR 900/USD 984).

Anima 2024, the Brussels Animation Film Festival, has opened the call for entries to its selection programmes for the 43rd edition of the festival. The Festival offers an official selection with national and international competition of short and feature films, as well as an information section (retrospectives, thematic programmes…).
