Submissions have been opened for the 4th International Uranium Film Festival Rio de Janeiro 2014, the film festival that highlights all nuclear and radioactive issues and inform about nuclear risks.
The Uranium Film Festival wants to promote, show and award prizes to short (up to 40 min) and feature length (longer than 40 min) films, movies and videos focusing on any nuclear energy, uranium and radioactive issues produced in any part of the world at any time!
Submitted films can have been produced at any time and don’t have to be new productions.
The Festival accepts independent short films and feature films, documentaries, movies, comedies, experimental videos and animated films about the whole nuclear fuel chain, about radioactivity, radioactive elements, atomic bombs, about uranium exploration, mining, processing, about nuclear medicine and nuclear waste. It has been created to stimulate the worldwide discussion about our “nuclear societies” and the production of independent documentaries and movies about nuclear and radioactive issues.
The 4th International Uraium Film Festival Rio de Janeiro is scheduled for May/June 2014. Further travelling Uranium Film Festivals are plannend in 2014 in USA, India, Nepal, Sri Lanka, Pakistan, South-Africa, Portugal & Germany.
