Akademie Schloss Solitude Residency Program 2017–2019

The new application round of Akademie Schloss Solitude – located in Stuttgart, Germany – for residential fellowships from 2017–2019 starts on 1st September 2016.

Akademie Schloss Solitude is granting approximately 70 residential fellowships of three to twelve months in duration.

International artists are invited to apply from the following disciplines: Architecture, Visual Arts, Performing Arts, Design, Literature, Music/Sound, Time-based Media and Web-based Media. Furthermore, scholars, scientists and professionals from the disciplines of the Humanities, Social Sciences (with focus on culture and geopolitics), Economy/Economics (with focus on urban policy), and History (with focus on practices of writing and politics in the contemporary).

Persons up to 35 or if older who have completed a university or college degree within the past five years are eligible. Currently enrolled university or college students (at the time of application) will not be considered for selection. PhD students may submit applications.

Each fellowship recipient is granted 1,150 Euro per month (plus a one-time grant for travel costs for the journey to and from Stuttgart from the fellow’s primary place of residence) and a free, furnished living/working studio including electricity, water and heating.

Application deadline is Wednesday, 30th November 2016 (Postmark).
