The Digital Production magazine has recently opened the animago Award 2016 digital art competition, which is being held for the 20th time.
The animago Award focuses on 3D Animation & Still, Visual Effects and Visualization and is open to studios, film production companies, agencies, freelancers, private individuals, students and graduates of universities and professional training institutes all over the globe.
The creators behind all projects that receive nominations will be invited to attend the animago Award Ceremony, which will take place during the two-day animago Award & Conference, 27–28 October 2016.
The “Best Young Production” project will be awarded with 3,000 Euro.
Projects completed anywhere in the world after 1 January 2013 are eligible for submission as long as they have not been entered into the Competition before.
Participation is free and the number of submissions permitted is unlimited.
For the past 20 years, the animago Award has acknowledged and honored the year’s best productions with a special emphasis on technical skill and creativity. In the time period since the award was launched, an independent jury of experts drawn from the fields of film, development and post-production have evaluated more than 20,000 works sent in by digital artists originating in over 80 different nations.
Last year, the competition received 1,008 entries, submitted by digital artists from 58 different countries.
