FindersKeepers and YUME want to show that beautiful design and sustainability doesn’t have to be opposites and invite designers to show how they interpret sustainability into the design of new products.
Participants are challenged to interpret sustainability into the design of new products.
The 10 finalists will have their designs exhibited at the FindersKeepers X Yume design market in Lokomotivværkstedet, Copenhagen on 10th-11th November 2018. The Grand prize is 10,000 Danish krone and guidance from members of the jury, as well as exposure on FindersKeepers’ communications channels.
The Beautiful X Sustainable competition is only open for new physical consumer products that contribute to a more sustainable world.
The product should be made with the regular consumer in mind, as the organizers wish to show with the competition that beautiful design can work in tandem with sustainable design.
FindersKeepers is a platform for upcoming design that exists both for designers and design enthusiasts. It hosts about 8-10 markets in the largest cities in Denmark: Copenhagen, Aarhus, Odense and Aalborg. These markets are meeting places for young and upcoming design talents within fashion, furniture, ceramics, artworks and jewellery.
