This juried competition celebrates the best use of typography as the primary visual element in design and advertising, plus new typeface designs, calligraphy and hand lettering. Any typographic project first published or produced from September 2025 through September 2026 is eligible. Chosen by a jury of leading design professionals, the selected entries will be distributed worldwide in the Communication Arts Typography Annual, in print and digital editions, and on commarts.com, assuring important exposure to the creators of this outstanding work

The 18th JEJU International PHOTO Contest is open for entries. This global contest welcomes everyone who loves Jeju Island in South Korea. This year’s topic is: Jeju Island – landscapes, nature, culture, public tourist attractions etc. A total of 5,800,000 KRW (around $4,260) in prizes will be awarded to 14 winners.

The call for entries for the 19th international Stereohype Button Badge Design Competition is now open. If you are 18+ and into design, illustration, typography, photography or visual experimentation, submit a maximum of four original badge artworks in total. Enter them as individual designs, a set of four, or a combination of both. Founded by the Art Directors Club in 1996 as a showcase of emerging creative talent, ADC Young Guns is a portfolio-based competition for creative professionals 30 years of age or under, and has grown to become one of the most coveted accolades in the global creative community. Winning an ADC Young Guns award is a recognition of emerging creative talent. Winners join the ADC Young Guns alumni community and are celebrated at the ADC Young Guns 24 Celebration in January 2027, at Sony Hall in New York City.

The Fondation Jacques Rougerie – Académie des Beaux-Arts has launched the 2026 edition of their international Architecture and Innovation Competition. The competition is open for architectural project related to flood-prone lands, the sea, or space. In 2026, a total of six International Grand Prizes will be awarded, each endowed with €7,000, for a total prize fund of €42,000.

Gráficas LAR is hosting their 18th PHOTOLAR photography contest and calling for entries from all parts of the world. The subject for 2026 is “SAIL” and eligible for entry are images with “anything that floats and can be driven“. The winner will be awarded a 400 Euro cash prize, and his/her name will be printed in the whole 2026 Graficas LAR calendar. The winner will also be the author of the twelve pictures that will illustrate the photo calendar.

The Xposure Independent & Freelance Photojournalist Award (IFPA) is open for entries for 2026. Xposure’s IFPA recognises outstanding independent and freelance photojournalists across Spot News, Environment and Solutions. Three winners each receive $5,000 and are invited to exhibit at Xposure in Sharjah, UAE, where their work is presented to an international audience of photographers, editors, industry professionals and the public.
