Celeste Prize 2017 – International Contemporary Art Competition

The 9th Celeste Prize international art competition has recently opened for entries, seeking participation from artists at every level.

Celeste Prize promotes and supports the work of visual artists, ensures that it’s seen daily in over 100 countries and each year by an audience of over 2 million people.

In 2017, six winners will receive 23,000 Euro prizes and every participant is up for selection in the Celeste 12 gallery benefits programme. There will also be a final exhibition of 50 works and 3 projects — at Bargehouse, OXO Tower in London, 6th-8th October, 2017 during Frieze week and a catalogue of circa 80 pages which will contain illustrations of finalists’ works and critical texts.

The competition is open to any person practicing art, either as a full-time or part-time professional or student, or as a self-taught artist from anywhere in the world. There is no age limit for applicants and the prize is open to all artists whatever their qualifications, with or without experience of public or private exhibitions. The prize encourages participation by artists at every level.

Excellence in content, contemporary aesthetic, technique, and material is sought in the selection of works for the final exhibition.

The Celeste Prize competition is hosted annually and receives thousands of entries from almost every part of the world.
