Celeste Network is currently accepting submission for Steamers, the award which reveals the stages in the development of art projects.
Streamers invites artists to reveal the development of projects from conception to completion, in a continuous online process that presents works of art in their relationship with the creative context.
A total of 8,000 Euro will be awarded in the competition, 6,000 Euro of which are reserved for the Best Artistic Project and 2,000 Euro for the Best Project which changes a community.
The call is open for artwork, images, videos, documentation and each artist is free to choose the theme of his or her project.
Artwork or images submitted in Projects can be in any artistic media, from painting to installation, to drawing and video, digital or analogue photography, cellular photography, Polaroid, computer graphics, software art, collage, to be presented at the final exhibition in two or three dimensional formats. Projects can be presented as photographic essays, personal stories in the style of storytelling, fictional narratives, documentary work, photojournalism or set pieces. There are no limits to the size of works submitted.
As the project develops over the call period, it will be possible to add online artwork or photographs. Also, use studies, notes, sketches or random printed material you’ve come across, which is inspiring or making you reflect or lending insight to your creative process.
The winners of the two awards will be announced by the curator Irene Alison and the jury during the opening of the final exhibition at the Officine Fotografiche, Rome, Italy, April 2017.
Streamers Entry Fee
The entry fee is 50 Euro for one project (includes up to 59 images and/or videos). Each additional project costs 40 Euro.
