Now in its third year, Clements International’s Expat Youth Scholarship is a unique contest exclusively for expat students who spend their childhoods moving between different countries and cultures.
This year’s theme asks participants to create a video explaining their favorite thing about their host country and its culture.
Clements will award a total of $10,000 to students ages 12-18 of any nationality who have resided in a foreign country for at least two consecutive years.
Objective
This year Clements International asks participants to create a 2-3 minute video explaining their favorite thing about their host country and its culture.
If you have lived abroad in more than one country, please only select one.
Prizes
Clements is awarding a total of $10,000 in scholarships to six students in the following categories:
- Category One (Ages 12 -15)
- 1st Place: $3,000
- 2nd Place: $1,500
- 3rd Place: $500
- Category Two (Ages 16 – 18)
- 1st Place: $3,000
- 2nd Place: $1,500
- 3rd Place: $500
Rules
- Students ages 12-18 of any nationality who have resided in a foreign country for at least two consecutive years are eligible to apply for the 2011 Expat Youth Scholarship.
- You must have lived outside your home country (country of passport). If you have more than one passport, your home country is the country where you obtained your first passport.
- Entries must be in English.

Submit your entry online by filling out the submittion form on the official website.
You must upload your video to YouTube and provide the correct link in the designated field on the online application. Recommended file types: MP4, mov, mpeg, mpg, wmv.
