CUBE Cultura starts its 2011 calendar with the creation of a mural painting and sculpture/installation acquisition prize. Both pieces selected within the CUBE Cultura Art Prize 2012 will become part of acclaimed Spanish architect Carme Pinós newest Guadalajara, México based project, Torre CUBE 2.
CUBE Cultura is a non-profit organization dedicated to the promotion of contemporary art and the relation and conviviality it has with architecture.
This is an international call for participation, so every artist is invited to submit!
Objective
Submit proposal for a work (a mural painting and sculpture/installation) that emphasizes the relationship between art and architecture. Please visit the official website for further details.
Prizes
CUBE Cultura has an acquisition prize of 5,000 USD for the winner in the category of sculpture / installation and 3,000 USD for the winner of the mural.
The full coverage of the production will be absorbed by CUBE Cultura, including transportation and per diem for the artist.
Rules
- This call is open to artists of any nationality.
- Each artist can only submit one proposal.
- Participation is anonymous; the use of a pseudonym is required.
- The work must be proactive and emphasize the relationship between art and architecture.
- The work must be new, specially created for the CUBE Cultura Award 2012.
