DC Shorts International Film Fest is celebrating its 21st year! The call for entries, for 2024 is now open.
Recently named the “Coolest Short Film Festival”, the 21st DC Shorts Film Festival is the largest short film event on the East Coast of the United States.
All accepted films will be screened during the festival and a total of seven (7) awards will be announced in different competition categories.
Films from 30 seconds to 40 minutes, completed after 1 January 2023, in all genres and styles, can be submitted. The spotlight is on truly independent short films created around the globe.
The following awards will be announced during the 2024 DC Shorts Film Festival:
- Outstanding Genre Short
- Outstanding Comedy/Drama Short
- Outstanding Animated Short
- Outstanding Use of Music
- Outstanding Documentary Short
- Outstanding First Time Filmmaker
- Outstanding Local Film
- Audience Choice Awards
As a highly competitive festival, DC Shorts receives 1,300+ submissions from over 100 countries around the globe, projected to an audience of 80,000 both in-person and online, internationally, making it a perfect platform to share your art.
