The students at Ecclesfield School in Sheffield have a passion for visual arts and, in particular, digital photography.
Numerous students at this school have picked up national and regional awards over the years for their photographic work.
To celebrate Ecclesfield School’s love of photography an inaugural photography competition is being hold and is open to both the general public and students of other schools.
Objective
The following categories are open for entries:
- General public:
- Landscape – rural scenery
- Motion – speed, grace and poise
- Portrait
- Urban environment – shots from the city
- Students from any Sheffield school aged 5-10:
- Open choice – submit your best shot
- Students from any Sheffield school aged 11-16:
- Open choice – submit your best shot
Prizes
- Professional enlarged canvas print of winning photograph
- Public exhibition of winning photo
- Free tickets to an arts festival event
- Assorted cash prizes
Rules
- This competition is open to general public and students from any Sheffield school.
- Put all of your photos on a CD with each image containing the title and your name.
- Make cheques payable to Ecclesfield School – first image is free and subsequent images cost £1.
- Entries won’t be returned to recipients.

To enter just download the application form and then send it, together with your photos on a CD, to:

You need to post a cheque if you are submitting more than one image. The first image is free and subsequent images cost £1.
