Fentress Architects opens registration for its annual Student Competition for 2017 and invites students to envision “The Airport of the Future“.
This international design competition for young and student architects invites participants to envision an airport of the future, specifically, the terminal building in the year 2075 using one of 10 existing international airports, taking into consideration local context, technological trends, and project feasibility and passenger experience.
The top prize includes US$5,000 cash, a four-week paid internship at Fentress Architects, airfare, lodging and certificate, a value of $15,000.
The Fentress Global Challenge is open to graduate and undergraduate students who are currently pursuing architecture or engineering degrees at an accredited university program, as well as recent graduates (within the last four years) with a degree in architecture or engineering.

- 1 October 2017 – Design Submission Deadline
- 31 October 2017 – Shortlist Announcement
- 30 November 2017 – Winners Announcement
- Summer 2018 – Internship at Fentress Architects
