Fiber Festival 2011 Calls for Entries

Fiber is a brand new audiovisual festival in Amsterdam, where electronic music, audiovisual art, interaction and technology join forces to create a cohesive audiovisual experience.

Where other audiovisual festivals offer a wide range of already established audiovisual artists, Fiber focuses on a new generation of artists and musicians, each with their own refreshing vision on audiovisual art and experience. Fiber offers talented students and starting artists a space to grow in their artistic vision.

Fiber offers a stage for young artists and djs (students and starters). Fiber invites you to apply for the first selection.

  • Exhibit

Are you an electronic musician of dj who’s open to new experiences and collaborations? Fiber offers you a performance at the stage. Fiber is looking for electronic live-acts and djs that fit daytime and nighttime.

  • Perform

Looking for a place to show your video-art, exhibit an interactive installation and try out a new technique? Fiber calls all young av- and interaction artists to participate in two festival elements:

    • exhibit your installation / interactive,
    • show your video-art, motion graphics and animations in the festival gallery.

Selected artists will get a chance to perform on the 2010 Fiber Audiovisual Network Festival in Amsterdam.

  • Collaboration between all disciplines is vital. Working together in the months preceding the festival enables artists coming from various disciplines to explore new ways of the cohesion between sound and image and each other’s work, resulting in a full audiovisual experience.
