The Florida Museum of Photographic Arts (FMoPA) is seeking entries for the 2024 International Photography Competition.
Images will be judged on originality, technical excellence, composition, overall impact, artistic merit, and as otherwise determined by the judges. Winners will be selected by a jury knowledgeable of art and photography.
The top 24 entries will be exhibited at The Tampa International Airport from 25 June – 25 August, 2024. Best in Show entries will win a cash prize of $1,000, the 7 Best in Category will win $100 in goods or services.
Competition categories include:
- People/Portraits
- Places/Landscape
- Nature/Science/Animals
- Documentation/Photojournalism
- Still Life
- Abstract Photography
- Conceptual Photography
For each category, three winners will be selected. An overall Best in Competition winner will be selected from all submitted photographs for a grand cash prize. Each winning submission will be printed for an exhibition at the Tampa International Airport.
The Florida Museum of Photographic Arts is a museum dedicated to exhibiting important photographic art as central to contemporary life and culture. FMoPA collects, preserves, and exhibits historic and contemporary works by nationally and internationally known photographic artists. FMoPA also enriches the community by operating outreach programs to educate children and adults.
FMoPA 2024 International Photography Competition is a global contest sponsored by Tampa International Airport & Visit Tampa Bay.
