The GCA Network, initiated by the H&M Foundation, has announced the 2016 Global Change Award: Reinvention — an international fashion design competition for the next big ideas in the industry.
The competition is an early stage innovation challenge aiming to close the loop for fashion, while taking on one of the biggest challenges facing today’s fashion industry – to create fashion for a growing population while reducing its impact on the environment.
This year, five (5) winners will share a grant of 1 million Euro and get access to a tailor-made one-year Innovation Accelerator, provided by the H&M Foundation in collaboration with KTH Royal Institute of Technology in Stockholm and Accenture.
The competition is open for disruptive ideas that can shape the future of how fashion is designed and produced, shipped, bought, used and recycled – ideas that can help close the loop for fashion – in order to protect our planet.
H&M Foundation initiated the Global Change Award in 2015.
The 2016 call for application opens on 1st September.
