Professional designers and students of all design related courses and programs (for example, product, fashion and communication design, architecture, marketing and engineering) who are interested in design of bicycle and relevant service are now welcome to register their entries for the IBDC (International Bicycle Design Competition) 2013.
The organizers will be selecting 30 winners all of which will receive IBDC certificates. The winners of IBDC 2013 will be announced at the awards ceremony during Taipei Cycle 2013 and all winners will be invited to be on stage to receive the certificates.
The 2013 International Bicycle Design Competition (IBDC) is Now Open for Submissions
You should either register your entries as professionals or students. Projects should show your degree of innovation and design quality in a certain level. In addition to projects by individual designers, works by groups of designers with no more than 4 team members/team are also being accepted.
What’s new in IBDC 2013? For the first time, the entries submitted by students and those submitted by young and talented designers will be evaluated separately from one another – this is a good and important step in the direction of providing for a more transparent, more fair comparison.
Entries can be submitted in the following four categories:
- Bicycles
- Components
- Clothing and accessories
- Service and facility
All successful contributions will receive a IBDC certificate. As an award winner you are entitled to use the IBDC logo for commercial purposes. The panel of jury will also recommend how a total prize money of NTD 500,000 (more than 16,700 USD) will be distributed among some of the 30 winners.
The winners of IBDC 2013 will be announced at the awards ceremony and all winners will be invited to be on stage to receive the certificates. The awards ceremony will take place in an official setting during TAIPEI CYCLE.
