JAGDA International Student Poster Award 2019

Japan Graphic Designers Association (JAGDA) is inviting students from all parts of the world to enter its Poster Award competition for 2019.

The JAGDA International Student Poster Award is a B1 size poster competition that can be described as the starting point for graphic design in Japan. The theme for 2019 is “Line”.

The Grand Prix and Gold recipients will be invited to the awards ceremony on Friday, 6 December 2019 and their prize winning works will be published in the annual book “Graphic Design in Japan 2020”.

All selected works will be exhibited at the National Art Center, Tokyo and will be published in a catalogue.

Accepted works include B1 size posters (width 728mm, height 1,030mm) produced between August 2018 and July 2019, portrait orientation only. Works that express a theme. In addition to independent works, classroom assignments, graduation projects, and works submitted for other awards are also accepted.

The competition was established in 2015 as “JAGDA Student Grand Prix” until the 4th competition in 2018. In 2019, it was renamed to “JAGDA International Student Poster Award” to reflect the competition’s international status.

JAGDA International Student Poster Award 2019 – Entry Fee

The fee is 1,000 yen per work. For a work in a series, this would be the number of pieces times 1,000 yen.
