The James Dyson Award 2013 student competition is open for entries from the next generation of design engineers. The Award celebrates, encourages and inspires innovation in product design and industrial design in selected countries around the world.
One student or a student team, selected as the International Winner, will have a chance to win a £40,000 prize and the James Dyson Award trophy! There are two more international runner-up prizes consisting of £10,000 each. Certificates of Excellence will also be awarded.
The competition is open to product design, industrial design and engineering university level students or graduates within 4 years of graduation, from the following countries: Australia, Austria, Belgium, Canada, France, Germany, Ireland, Italy, Japan, Malaysia, the Netherlands, New Zealand, Russia, Singapore, Spain, Switzerland, UK and USA.
The James Dyson Foundation, James Dyson’s charitable trust, hosts this competition annually to inspire young people about design engineering.
