The LYON DESIGN! association is calling for projects for its LYON CITY DEMA!N 2017 – Chapitre Biodistrict Lyon-Gerland event.
Designers, architects, urban planners, scenographers, associations and groups, including students, both in France and abroad are invited to submit projects which incorporate current and foreseeable changes in urban living, taking into consideration: teamwork, independence, nomadism, dematerialisation, connected lifestyle etc.
During the Design/Conception phase, the organizers will provide grants of a maximum of 3.000 Euro (incl. VAT) for each selected project. Additional grants between 3.000 and 10.000 Euro will be privded during the next, Production phase, awarded by associated partner companies. The total funding budget for the event is 13.000 Euro.
Four winning designers will each be awarded one of the public awards – there are four (4) public awards and each one is monetary in the form of a cheque. In addition, all exhibiting laureates will benefit from the promotion linked to LYON CITY DEMA!N 2017 – Chapitre Biodistrict Lyon-Gerland.
Each submitted project should tackle one or more of the following three issues whilst falling within the development of the Lyon-Gerland Biodistrict: Natural Environment, Food and Mobility and Social Ties.
Founded in 2012, the LYON DESIGN! association is committed to promoting the use of the design approach in urban transformation, making urban design more attractive and uniting the major players in the field in the Lyon metropolitan area.
