MontPhoto has issued the call for entries for its 21st annual International Competition of Nature Photography.
The competition rewards photographic excellence and seeks for innovating and inspiring images, unknown places, new visions of the living beings, surprising behaviors or reinterpretations of all that is already known. One sight that documents the diversity, the beauty, the mystery and the fragility of life on our Planet.
MontPhoto invites all amateurs and professionals photographers worldwide to participate with images taken with digital cameras (raw file compulsory).
Each author can participate with a maximum of 25 photographs that can be distributed across the eleven contest categories.
Competition categories include: Mountain, Mountain Activity, Mammals, Birds, Other Animals, Plant Life, Landscape, Underwater World, Macro, Ecological Report and Art in Nature.
Awards valued to more than 23,000 Euro will be distributed among the following prizes:
- WWF – FNYH Grant,
- Honour MontPhoto Award 2017,
- Eleven First Prizes (one per category),
- Popular vote in each category,
- Eight Highly Commended awards by category,
- Two Special Awards,
- Eight Young Awards.

MontPhoto 2017 Participation Fees
The participation fee is 20 Euro, except for those under the age of 18 for whom the participation is free.
