No Barriers – International Poster Contest – 1st Edition

No Gags (Un Mundo sin Mordaza) is hosting its 1st international poster contest — titled “No Barriers” — and calls out designers around the world to take part.

What is it that makes unite us as humanity? Or, what is the biggest barrier between races? The call is to get inspired with whatever you think is the answer for this!

Winning entries will be selected by an international jury, to become part of a traveling exhibition and poster publication of a printed catalog. First five places at the discretion of the jury will be awarded. The winning posters will be exhibited in the city of Caracas, Venezuela.

The “No Barriers” competition is open to all designers, graphic artists, plastic or visual artists without restriction of age, sex or nationality. Each participant can send up to 5 posters.

Results will be announced on 10 December 2016 on the official website.

No Gags was born on 25 June 2009 after the global protest No More Closings, in which more than 20 countries and 30 cities joined to show solidarity in the situation that Venezuela was living at the time. Today, it is an international organization that promotes human rights, freedom and justice through creativity and art in all its manifestations: humor, poetry, music, among others.

Every year, No Gag seeks to make a critical and artistic statement on the reality of human rights in the world.
