La Guarimba International Film Festival is seeking for Fiction, Animation, Documentary, Music Videos, Experimental, Dance Films and Children’s Animation of any nationality and language. The selection for 2026 will include around 170 films that will be selected to be screened at the festival and will be part of the competition. The best Fiction, Documentary and Animation films will each be awarded with 800 Euro and a trophy. The best Music Video and Children’s Animation will each be awarded with 300 Euro and a trophy. Trophies will also be awarded in all other competition categories.

La Guarimba International Film Festival 2016 call for submissions is now open for fiction, animation, documentary, music video and “Calabria in Corto” short films. All themes and languages are allowed and submitted films must be up to 30 minutes in length and must have been produced after 1st of January 2014. A total of 3,300 Euro and trophies will be awarded in 2016. The best fiction, animation, documentary films will each be awarded with 1,000 Euro. All films selected for the Festival competition program will be screened during the La Guarimba 2016.

La Guarimba International Film Festival has recently opened the Call for Entries for 2015 and seeking for fiction, animation and documentary films for its competitive programs. The third edition of the La Guarimba Film Festival is open for films with a minimum length of 30 minutes, of any nationality and language, produced after 1st January 2013. Twenty (20) films of Short Film category, ten (10) Documentaries, fifteen (15) Animation and Stop Motion films will be selected to be screened at the festival and will enter its competition. The Grand Prize for each of the main competition categories – except Documentary – is 1,000 Euro and a Trophy. Trophies will also be given out for the many other Awards.

A new Italian film festival has recently opened a call for submissions. La Guarimba International Film Festival, which will be held in Amantea, Italy, 10-11 August 2013, is calling to filmmakers worldwide and is accepting short films produced after 1 January 2011 on any theme. La Guarimba Film Festival will announce winners in several different categories and will award three cash prizes. The goal of the Festival is to take cinema to a town – Amantea – whose movie theaters have been shut down.
