Applications for the European Fashion Award FASH 2025 are now officially open. The award is dedicated to the sustainable promotion of talented design students from all over Europe. It is open to students from all design disciplines – especially from the fields of textile and fashion design. The European Fashion Award FASH 2025 will be presented in May 2025 as part of the new Munich Fashion Award. The winners will receive a total of 5,000 Euro in prize money.

German Fashion Industry Foundation has recently announced the 2016 European Fashion Award FASH competition, inviting design students around the world to participate. The European Fashion Award FASH 2016 with the subject “Change” is searching for visions of a new era. How can fashion react? Should there be more adaptation, subversive strategies, or should we dream completely new dreams? Who will ride the wave of change and claim the future? The total prize fund of the 2016 Competition is 80,000 Euro, which will be distributed across several competition categories.

The European Fashion Award FASH 2015 on the topic of “Freedom” is searching for fashion as an expression of attitude: social utopia, poetic symbol of protest, or escape from the everyday routine. The European Fashion Award FASH 2012, combined with the Special Award Gore Bike Wear, is looking for sportswear for competitive, endurance or fitness sports combining function and fashion in a groundbreaking design. ObjectiveThe European Fashion Award – FASH 2012 featuring the title “Active – Performance Sportswear” is looking for sportswear for competitive, endurance, training (exercise) or fitness sports (physical activity), combining the best possible function with an appropriate level of fashion, all wrapped up in meaningful and appropriate design. The selection of the sports discipline and skill level – professional or amateur – is the participant’s choice. Simple sportswear, meaning apparel with a sporty look, is not acceptable.

The competition targets especially talented design students from all sectors of design, in particular from the segments of textile and fashion design. Students attending a European university or fashion institute in their 4th semester or later are eligible to enter. Students from outside of Europe are also permitted to enter the competition. However, there are special guidelines, which will be provided upon request. Eligible entries include designs by individuals, or, as particularly welcomed by the organizers, by inter-disciplinary teams, and/or cooperations with companies. Undergraduate and graduate or bachelor and master projects are also eligible, provided their subject conforms to the tasks set in this competition, and they were compiled in the year 2010. Projects that are entered should not have been published yet anywhere else.
