Sanfermin Poster Competition 2012

The city of Pamplona is hosting yet another edition of the Sanfermin Poster Competition, open for entries by the end of March. The best poster design in this competition will become the official poster of the 2012 San Fermin fiesta.

Pamplona City Hall is inviting all designers to design posters that represents the spirit of the San Fermin fiestas.

The fame and honor of having made the official poster to announce the San Fermin fiestas stands as high as it has always been. This year the prize money stands at a figure of 3600 Euro!

Design the Official Poster for the 2012 San Fermin Fiesta!

The Sanfermin Poster Competition is a reference within national and international posters for the high number of participants each year in the competition and for the repercussion which the winning poster has. For this same poster will now serve as the banner for the Sanfermin fiestas worldwide.

At present, the poster competition consists of three phrases. The first phase is the entry period for handing in the work. This opens in April and works can be sent in by post. There are usually about 500 entries in total. The second phase is the narrowing down of the number until eight finalists are selected by a jury. This same jury also makes a selection of the best ninety works which will later be put on exhibition. Last, the third. At the end of April or the beginning of May a voting period of a couple of weeks is opened to allow all eligible citizens of Pamplona to vote from among the eight finalists.

Pamplona City Hall has all copyright of the winning poster and it may appear on many different kinds of supports. Finally, the ninety selected works go to form part of an artistic exhibition which runs from the month of June until the end of Sanfermin fiestas.

The design should go on a format of not higher than 100 centimeters and a width of 70 centimeters.

The prize money is about 3600 Euro (4.813 USD).
