The Society of Publication Designers (SPD) has recently opened the call for entries in its 2016 Student Design Competition, open to all undergraduate students around the world.
This year, SPD invites students to pick one of the five available categories and design a two-spread story for a News, How-To…, Adventure/Travel, Entertainment or Sports/Fitness magazine.
This annual competition is a special opportunity for you to win cash, exposure to a huge audience of amazing professional designers, and — perhaps best of all — a summer internship at a top magazine!
The First Place winner will be awarded The Mitch Shostak Award, which includes $2,500 and the summer internship.
You may enter more than one design in the same or different categories.
This is SPD’s 18th annual student design competition. Last year the competition received hundreds of entries from 35 schools across the globe.
SPD Student Competition 2016 Entry Fees
