The Switch art project invites you to take part part in its 5th annual installment. Founded in 2007, Switch promotes and shows contemporary video art in a public context.
Artists working with video/film are invited to submit works responding to the theme of movements.
8 contemporary video/film works from 8 International artists will be back-projected from twilight to midnight onto coated windows, transforming spaces and shop fronts. Selected artists will get payed for showing of their work.
SWITCH – Contemporary Video Art in A Public Context
Switch is an event that promotes and shows contemporary works of moving image in a public context. It offers an alternative way to navigate familiar places. So, this call is open to artists working with film, lens based work and moving image.
One work may be entered per applicant.
An artists fee of 250 euro [or relevant currency equivalent] will be paid per selected artist for the showing of their work. VAT is applicable.
Switch has to date shown the artworks of 31 international artists who have through the project invited the public into their practice, ideas and viewpoints, switch locates itself outside of the big city and applies itself to the rhythm of smaller places.
