As a part of its 59th annual Call for Entries, the Type Directors Club is hosting this year’s Typeface Design Competition – open for new and original typefaces designed in 2012, in several different categories.
The winning designs in this competition will be published in the annual publication “Typography 34”. Through the Typography annual, the Type Directors Club encourages the worldwide graphic arts community to achieve excellence in typography.
There are only a few days left to enter this competition, so if you’re interested, you’ll need to act quickly.
The 59th Annual Type Directors Club Typeface Design Competition Open for A Few More Days
Original typefaces designed in 2012 – any new typeface designs produced or published between 1 January and 31 December 2012 – may be entered in any of the following categories:
- Single Typeface
- Type Family
- Type Superfamily
- Text
- Display
- Type System
- Pi or Ornament
- Original Design
- Custom Design
- Revival
- Latin
- Non-Latin
Student work does not have a separate category and should be entered in one of the existing categories.
Entry Fee
- Single Entry (1 typeface): $50 (US)
- Type Family (3-8 type styles) $90 (US)
- Superfamily (9+ type styles) $170 (US)
