Animarte – the annual International Animation Festival – is currently accepting films for its 6th edition. Animarte is open to animated and mixed media shorts with a duration of up to 15 minutes. All animation techniques are accepted.
Animarte showcases the best animation shorts from around the world and brings them to cities throughout Latin America. Already five major cities have been confirmed for Animarte’s sixth edition: Buenos Aires, Argentina; Mexico City, Mexico; Mendoza, Argentina; Viña del Mar, Chile and Montevideo, Uruguay.
Last year the festival screened in five cities in Mexico, Argentina, Chile and Uruguay and was enjoyed by an audience of close to 4000 people!
Objective
Animarte 6 is open to animated and mixed media shorts with a duration of 15 minutes or less. You can submit short films in every animation technique.
To be considered all films must be in English or Spanish or have English or Spanish subtitles. Films with no dialogue are also welcome. Credits do not need to be translated.
Prizes
Selected films will be screened throughout Latin America. So far Buenos Aires, Mexico City, Mendoza, Viña del Mar and Montevideo are scheduled for screenings.
Rules
Along with your film also submit:
- Three of more digital stills of the film at the highest possible quality (300 dpi). These images will be used both as an identifying image for your submission during the selection process and in publications, printed materials and/or other media purposes.
- Optional Materials:
- A Brief synopsis of the film.
- Director’s biography, Director’s photo (300dpi)
- Any other materials you deem relevant such as storyboards, animatics, behind the scenes pictures, work in progress stills, etc.
