Design Council is looking for ideas that are new, or are a fresh take on an existing concept as part of the Knee High design challenge, organized in partnership with Guy’s and St Thomas’ Charity and the London Boroughs of Southwark and Lambeth.
The Knee High open innovation challenge is about radical new ideas that can make a real difference to the health and wellbeing of children living in the London boroughs of Southwark and Lambeth.
Initially approximately 20 shortlisted entrants will gain support and funding of up to £180,000 to test ideas with local families.
There are three briefs – listed below. The outcome can be anything, e.g. new service, product, environment, or something else.
- Leaving the house
Connect more families to people and places beyond the boundaries of their home. - Day-to-day play
Make it possible for more young children to learn and develop in their everyday lives. - A parent is a person
Alleviate the stress, anxiety, and depression experienced by parents during the ups and downs of everyday life.
