The Wassaic Residency Program is having another open call for Wassaic Project’s winter residency season. This program cultivates and supports community for emerging and professional contemporary artists, musicians, writers and other creatives.
The Wassaic Residency is open to proposals for one to six month residencies with a preference given to longer term applicants.
The Wassaic Residency Program is Calling for Applications for the 2012-2013 Winter Residency
The Wassaic Residency seeks artists working in a diverse range of media who want to produce, explore, challenge, and expand on their current art making practices, while participating in a grass roots, community-based arts organization.
The Residency dates are: 2 November 2012 – 30 April 2013
Applications are being accepted from artists, musicians and writers.
The organizers award fellowships ranging from $200 to $400 every month, based on merit and artist need. Artists receiving fellowships will be expected to donate between 3 – 10 hours of their time per week working for The Wassaic Project, depending on the amount of their fellowship.
The Wassaic Artist Residency also awards a full Fellowship to one artist-in-residence per month to work with local high school art teachers in their classrooms.
