UNIQLO Grand Prix 2013 T-Shirt Contest

UNIQLO recently announced the launch of the UT (UNIQLO T-shirt) Grand Prix 2013 annual T-shirt design contest, in which participants around the world turn T-shirts into creative works of art.

Music is the theme of the UT Grand Prix 2013 T-shirt design contest, with six very popular artists set to participate. AC/DC, David Bowie, Madonna, KISS, the Sex Pistols and members of The Who will personally select the winning entries, with each artist responsible for choosing the six Artist’s Choice Award winners.

The competition is open to anyone, regardless of age, gender or nationality. Entries will be accepted from all countries around the world.

Contest entrants can submit their original designs featuring one of six internationally well-known music artists: AC/DC, David Bowie, Madonna, KISS, the Sex Pistols and The Who. These music legends will personally select the six winning entries in the Artist’s Choice Award category, whereas an online voting process will choose the six winners in the People’s Choice Award category.

A total of $30,000 cash prize will be available for the twelve winners. UNIQLO will select an additional twelve entries for the Runner’s Up category, and the company will produce UTs for all twenty-four designs and sell them at its stores throughout the world, as well as online, in Fall 2012.

UNIQLO has conducted the UT Grand Prix T-Shirt Design Competition annually since 2005, with the purpose of encouraging creative and talented individuals globally.

The organizers will begin to accept entries from 3 August 2012.
