To celebrate World Standards Day, an annual event for paying tribute to international standards, the World Standards Cooperation is hosting the 2014 international poster design competition.
The organizers (IEC, ISO, ITU) are challenging everyone to create amazing posters for the World Standards Day 2014 theme: Standards level the playing field.
Fancy designing a poster for a chance to win 1,500 Swiss francs and have your work featured globally?
Here is what the topic stands for: standards are all around us, help us live and work safely, increase efficiency and help developing businesses. For small business owners in developing or developed countries international standards provide a great opportunity to expand to new markets and compete with established big players and competitors. International standards make consumers feel safer and help businesses build brand reputation. Countries which refer to international standards in their policies and regulations are able to better protect their populations and give them a bigger choice of quality products. International standards help stimulate trade flows, overcome artificial trade barriers and help level the playing field.
Please visit the Official website for further details.
The designer(s) of the best poster will win 1,500 Swiss francs, with the three runners-up receiving 500 Swiss francs each.
The World Standards Cooperation was established in 2001 by the International Electrotechnical Commission (IEC), the International Organization for Standardization (ISO) and the International Telecommunication Union (ITU), in order to strengthen and advance the voluntary consensus-based international standards systems of IEC, ISO and ITU.
